The Best IPad Case Is A Leather Case.
The selection of iPad cases can be overwhelming, and even more overwhelming can be the prices you would pay in your local store. IN fact, just going through the local bestbuy, wal-mart and Fry's, I found cases that pretty much ranged from $50 right up to about $100 - ridiculous! Now I want to be clear, getting an iPad case for your ipad is a MUST! Seriously! But paying through the nose just seems like a cash grab.
Thankfully though, there are many online stores that offer up an amazing selection of iPad cases a-plenty, and most of the time, the prices are about half of what they would be for the same, or similar, iPad case at your local BestBuy or other retailer.
In all honesty, the suggestion I give all of my friends when they ask me about which case they should buy is to go and look for an iPad case online and save some money. The fact is, we can't get the price of the iPad down below $499 - that's just how it goes. You are definitely going to have to fork out $500 for the base model of the ipad. So we have to save where we can when it comes to the add on products for the iPad - and the iPad case is a must have add on and one that we can definitely save some money by looking around. A decent leather case will cost you about $75.00 at your local computer store, and you can get the same case online for about $25.00 - now that's what I call a huge savings!
I'm a fan of leather cases for the iPad myself. I consider my iPad to be a really classy machine, and a very functional one too. So I would hesitate to put something this beautiful in a bright yellow silicone case. Mind you there are arguments for silicone cases which are valid - shock protection, better grip, etc... I am just not a fan of them at all, despite my friends often telling me how great they are.
I absolutely love the executive style iPad leather cases, there's nothing that adds class to the iPad more than that. But I like them for another reason too. They completely cover the iPad. Naturally the back of the ipad is covered, but the front of the case flip open to reveal the screen, and fold back to the back of the iPad, adding a bit more stuff to hold on to when I carry my iPad in one hand. At under $30 it's an easy decision to make and it's not so bad for my bank account either.
