Interview Suit Wearing Guide
In the past, people generally put on suits when employment searching. Nothing states "hire me" more than a professional looking business suit. However, lately individuals have taken to wearing shirts with their resume printed on it. This is a way of constantly marketing yourself while you are going about your daily business.
Many individuals think that this makes them appear inventive an innovative. My thoughts do not coincide with these individuals. It seems to me that a person comes off both desperate and unprofessional. If you would like to stand out from the masses, why not simply dress better than everyone else? In today's world it is not very hard to dress better than your rivals. Most individuals do not even know how to put on mens suits properly. I wrote this post to help folks look good when job searching.
First of all, you must get your measurements. You can not obtain a suit properly if you do not know your size. Wearing a properly fitting suit is important to making a great impression. The local tailor or suit shop employee will be happy to provide you with your measurements.
A classic suit color should be the next thing you look into. Charcoal gray and navy blue make outstanding suit colors. You can get these in solid or with a nice pinstripe. A great way to make a nice first impression is to wear a blue pinstripe suit. Save your designer suits purchases for when you set out to purchase evening wear.
Once you have your suit, you can look into getting a white shirt to wear. Button down collars and non-button down collars can both be worn. Personally I prefer ones that do not button since they lay better. If you are fit, then feel free to get a fitted shirt. Don't deviate from the white shirt until you have gotten the job; you may be able to wear other colors once you've been hired.
Finally, you will need to get a nice pair of shoes and a belt. The best interview shoe color is black. Get yourself a nice pair of black shoes with a matching black belt. Buy something conservative rather than stylish. You can shine them up or simply leave them black. Just don't shine them if you don't intend on doing it correctly.
